By accessing or using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understand this Privacy Policy.
1) Personal Information We Collect

Sources of Personal Information
We collect information:
- Directly from you (e.g., when you create an account, place an order, contact support, or submit forms).
- Automatically via cookies, pixels, SDKs, and similar technologies when you browse or use the Services.
- From service providers who perform services for us (e.g., payments, fulfillment, analytics, advertising, customer support, hosting).

2) How We Use Personal Information
We use personal information for the following purposes:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Services (e.g., process orders and payments; ship products; provide account features; remember preferences; enable reviews; handle returns and exchanges; troubleshoot and improve site performance and usability).
- Personalize and tailor your experience (e.g., product recommendations, recently viewed items, saved carts).
- Marketing and advertising (e.g., send emails/SMS with offers; show ads on our site and on other websites or apps based on your activity; measure campaign performance). Where required, we will obtain your consent.
- Security, fraud prevention, and integrity (e.g., authenticate users, prevent fraud and abuse, protect accounts and the Services, investigate suspicious activity).
- Customer service and communications (e.g., respond to inquiries, send transactional messages about orders, deliveries, and account changes).
- Legal and compliance (e.g., comply with laws, respond to lawful requests, enforce our terms and policies, protect our rights, users, and the public).
3) How We Disclose Personal Information
We may disclose personal information in the following circumstances:
- With Shopify, our platform provider. Shopify hosts the store and processes data to provide and improve its services to us and to you. See Section 4 (Shopify) for more details.
- With service providers who process information on our behalf (e.g., payment processors, fraud prevention, analytics and measurement providers, email/SMS platforms, cloud hosting, fulfillment and shipping carriers, customer support tools).
- With business and marketing partners (e.g., for analytics, personalization, and advertising). These partners use information in accordance with their own privacy notices.
- At your direction or with your consent (e.g., to ship to a third party, with social media integrations, or when you use widgets or log‑in connectors).
- Within our corporate family/affiliates as needed to operate and support the Services.
- For corporate transactions (e.g., merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, bankruptcy). Information may be transferred as part of the transaction.
- For legal, safety, and compliance reasons (e.g., to comply with law or legal process, respond to lawful requests, enforce our terms, or protect our rights, users, or the public).
We do not sell your personal information for money. Depending on your jurisdiction’s laws, certain advertising or analytics disclosures may be considered a “sale” or “share” of personal information for targeted advertising. See Your Rights & Choices below for opt‑out options and Global Privacy Control (GPC) recognition.
4) Relationship with Shopify
The Services are hosted by Shopify. Shopify collects and processes personal information about your use of the Services to operate, secure, and improve the platform (including across merchants). We may also use Shopify features that support personalized advertising and analytics across merchants. For those uses, Shopify acts as an independent controller and is responsible for responding to requests to exercise rights related to Shopify’s processing.

5) Cookies, Analytics, and Targeted Advertising
We and our partners use cookies and similar technologies to (a) make the site work, (b) remember your preferences, (c) measure site performance, and (d) provide personalized content and ads.
- Managing cookies: You can control cookies through your browser settings and, where available, through our cookie preferences banner. Note that blocking certain cookies may impact site functionality.
- Global Privacy Control (GPC): If you visit our site with a GPC signal enabled, we will treat it as a request to opt‑out of sale/sharing for targeted advertising for the browser and device used, and apply it to your account where we can reasonably associate it.
6) Security and Retention
We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no security system is impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use strong, unique passwords and safeguard your account credentials.
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Policy—such as providing the Services, complying with legal obligations (e.g., tax and accounting), resolving disputes, and enforcing agreements—and then either delete or de‑identify it.
7) Children’s Privacy
The Services are not intended for children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of majority in their jurisdiction. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will delete it as required by law. As of the effective date, we do not have actual knowledge of “selling” or “sharing” personal information of individuals under 16 years of age.
8) Your Rights & Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights, subject to legal limits:
- Right to know/access the personal information we hold about you.
- Right to delete personal information we maintain about you.
- Right to correct inaccuracies in your personal information.
- Right to portability (receive a copy in a usable format and, where feasible, transmit it to another entity).
- Right to opt‑out of sale or sharing for targeted advertising. You can opt out by: (i) using our cookie preferences and/or GPC; and/or (ii) contacting us as described below. Where applicable, we will honor your choices.
- Right to manage marketing communications. You can opt out of promotional emails using the “unsubscribe” link. (We may still send non‑marketing emails, e.g., order or account notices.)
How to exercise your rights: Email us at info@filterlo.com with the subject line “Privacy Request” and tell us what right you wish to exercise. We may need to verify your identity as permitted by law. You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf; we may require proof of authorization and direct verification.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights. If we deny your request, you may have the right to appeal by replying to our decision email; we will explain our reasons and any further options available under applicable law.

9) International Transfers
We may transfer, store, and process personal information outside your country (including in the United States and Canada), where data protection laws may differ. When we transfer personal information from the EEA/UK to countries without an adequacy decision, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the UK Addendum, as applicable.
10) Third‑Party Websites and Services
The Services may link to third‑party websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we are not responsible for their content, security, or privacy practices. We recommend reviewing their privacy policies before providing information.
11) Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, technical, or operational reasons. When we do, we will post the updated Policy and revise the “Last updated” date. Where required, we will provide additional notice.
